About Alison
Anusara-inspired™ instructor Alison Alstrom is continually amazed by the broad scope and many benefits of yoga, and particularly Anusara Yoga. She has studied 7 years with Anusara's founder, John Friend, serving as host and assistant at his recent Portland workshop, and has deepened her practice under the loving guidance and friendship of Dr Douglas Brooks, Desiree Rumbaugh, Sianna Sherman, and Darren Rhodes. Alison has recently been honored to serve the growing Anusara community in Portland in a leadership role, organizing trainings and workshops as well as mentoring teachers, and is currently co-leading a registered 108 hour immersion in the Anusara method. Perhaps most importantly, Alison has been exploring the art of yoga-as-living since being taught as a child to perceive all things as divine. The foundation of all her practices to this day, she finds great joy in sharing the insights of this exploration with others.
